Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this very cool and highly collectable Chesterfield tufted swivel chair made for the original Star Trek series in the 1960's Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote, please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. On May 10th 1966 these Chromcraft Sculpta chairs (AKA Unicorn chairs) were born. The futuristic look, they were actually featured on Star Trek. The racing style bucket seats appear to float above the visually slight chevron “V” shape This chair is a bit of a design icon, for those that loved the shop and of course, those that love super cool mid century modern seating. This chair really commands attention in any setting Condition wise, its 99% period perfect apart from a section of missing vynal on the right side at the front, this has been coloured in black, it can be professionally repaired for around £150 should the new owner wish with an internal leather patch and filler, the finish would never be 100% perfect which is why I have left it as it is Dimensions: Height:- 94.5cm fixed Width:- 55.5cm Depth:- 69cm Seat height:- 41cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
