Set of Four Chinese Official's Chairs, Rosewood, Qing Dynasty, China

About the Item

A finely crafted set, four Chinese official's chairs. The center yoke back panel has elegantly carved section. The front leg apron is also beautifully carved. Retains foot rail joining legs. The lacquer finish on the chairs is original. Often this style of chair was referred to as an officials chair, since only a person of high status could afford to have such an elaborate chair produced for them. Retain original expot stamp(label.)
