Set of 4 Sculptural Plastic Chairs by John Gale, 1963
About the Item
Rare white space age chairs. Designed by Mid-Century Modern designer John Gale.
Patented in 1963, each one has patent number stamped and John Gale logo. Design was used to develop Rotocast technology which was used later in the 1960s on other high production John Gale designs. Rotocast process involves a heated hollow mold which is filled with a charge or shot weight of material. It is then slowly rotated, causing the softened material to disperse and stick to the walls of the mold.
Scratches and wear consistent with age. Priced as a set of 4. Perfect for indoors or an outdoor space.
