This is a pair of antique elbow chairs. A French, mahogany upholstered morning room armchair, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Striking chairs, with a tasteful elegance suited to any room Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present fine grain interest and deep caramel hues Historical professional reupholstering in a pleasingly tasteful textile Buckle back form with a padded cushion over the back splat Traditionally stuffed with generous cushioning throughout Quality upholstery accentuated with a small flower pattern against an anthracite ground Each arm dressed with elbow cushions for comfort Shaped supports terminate in attractive relief carved knuckles with scroll motif Deep seat cushion set at a comfortable height of 42cm (16.5'') Shaped front apron rail set between capped knees Standing upon a pair of cabriole front legs with splayed rear legs This is a superb pair of antique elbow chairs, beautifully upholstered to accentuate the quality frames. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
