Pair 19th Century French Walnut Armchairs ~ Fauteuils with Mohair are a refined example of the neoclassic style revived many times over the past millennia culminating in their current evolved form. Crafted from fine French walnut, each features the arched seatback and generous seats for comfort, upholstered in plush mohair for longevity and visual appeal. Carved from seatback crown to leg tip, motifs include laurel wreaths and sprays, spiral ribbon molding, acanthus rosettes, and tapered and fluted legs all around. In between are gracefully supported padded armrests with complementary carved detail/ Mohair shows some minor wear but is still very serviceable, and in a neutral olive green for compatibility with a wide variety of color palettes. If you act fast, the original matching canape and pair of salon chairs are still available as of this writing!
