Mid-Century Hobart Wells Hairpin Lounge Chair for Lensol-Wells

About the Item

Constructed by Chemold Manufacturing, Hobart Wells designed this Hairpin side chair for the Lensol-Wells Company. This chair features a seat and back made of molded fiberglass and fabric, by Glenn of California Fabric, embedded in the plastic seat and back. The chair sits on bent iron metal hairpin legs. Chair is discussed in National Furniture Review, March 1951 on page 49.

Condition:

Wear consistent with age and use. Both chairs are in very nice shape. Both show normal wear consistent with age. Also one chairs has a very minor crack on the fiberglass and other chair has small damage on the corner as pictured.
