Dumbo Beige Upholstered Chair by Zaven
About the Item
Dumbo is the universal padded chair, generous yet lightweight. Its backrest appears to have two ears extending from it, making it even bigger and cosier.
Founded in 2006 by Enrica Cavarzan and Marco Zavagno, Zaven is a design studio dedicated to research between communication, design and art. Located in the area of ??the former industrial center of Marghera in front of the Venice lagoon, Zaven carries out works in the field of graphics, product design and installations. The ability to develop collaborations between creatives from different fields is a distinctive trait that has helped to affirm Zaven even beyond the world of design. Zaven's works have been published in Case da Abitare, Elle Decor, Icon, Surface Magazine, Typo Magazine, Wallpaper * and exhibited in The New Italian Design exhibition at the Milan Triennale, at Meet Design (Rome and Turin) and several times at London Design Festival and Designer Days in Paris. Clients include: Atipico, Ca 'Foscari University, Fabrica, Claudio Buziol Foundation, Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation, Sindika Dokolo Foundation, HelloVenezia, IUAV University of Venice, La Biennale di Venezia, Miniforms, Nike Italia, Replay Jeans. In 2011 the studio won the Macef Design award and the Città Impresa Festival award. With Ana Maria Bresciani founder of the Monos publishing project which deals with the publication of academic monographs in the philosophical and artistic fields. Together with Matteo Zorzenoni and Giorgio Biscaro they are promoters of the Something Good project, a research collective on design and communication.
