A stunning set of four Aesthetic Movement side chairs, dating to circa 1880 and attributed to D.G. Fischel & Söhne. These elegant chairs exemplify the refined craftsmanship and artistic sensibilities of the period, blending ebonized and gilt wood with intricate detailing and woven cane seats. The chairs showcase gracefully turned legs, a delicately pierced and gilded backrest, and subtle ornamental flourishes, all hallmarks of the Aesthetic Movement’s emphasis on beauty, decoration, and artisanal craftsmanship.
