Magnificent and rare Art Deco Haagse School bench or sofa. Design by Willem Penaat for Metz & Co. Amsterdam Striking Dutch design from the 1930s. Solid oak frame with black lacquered lining and re-upholstered with red Manchester corduroy. Marked with original manufacturers stamp. This wonderful Art Deco Modernist bench or sofa by Willem Penaat for Metz & Co. is in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. A real eye-catcher in your home or office.
