Original Painted Bench with Storage, Sweden circa 1820-40

About the Item

This original hand painted Swedish pine bench displays a brick red/brown faux wood background and simple folk art motif along the front panel and back. The bench seat opens/is removeable to reveal interior storage. Bottom section can be pulled forward as well. Restored, cleaned and waxed, this bench is ready to use and enjoy. Note the simple linen fabric (included) is merely stapled to the bench seat to convey to buyer what the seat may look like should buyer choose to upholster it after arrival. All nicks, scratches, dings, cracks, old dried worm holes, aged separation of wood are signs of wear and use and do not detract from the function of this bench which you can sit on and use.
