French large sofa bench sofa in carved painted wood - Louis XV style France
About the Item
Magnificent sofa bench in painted and gilded rechampi wood, molded and sculpted with scrolls and stylized flowers.
The sofa rests on eight curved arched legs with flower falls
Armrests with cuffs, curved and molded supports.
Wide and deep seat, shell crosspieces.
The sofa is very well upholstered with a floral velvet in pink and green tones.

In the style of Nicolas Heurtaut received master in 1753, under Louis XV.

The Louis XV style succeeds the Regency style. It is also called the Rocaille or Rococo style.
