A Scottish Arts and Crafts period arts school bench of thick solid pale oak slabs for the ends, seat and back with substantial integrated bespoke brass hinges to allow conversion into a desk with pencil holders and book slots. Attractive form with curved arms, flared legs and bookslots below seat. A unique and useful piece, suitable for a mudroom bench, breakfast nook seating or as a desk in a bedroom or library.
