Set of Four French 19th Century Louis XV Rococo Style Gilt Wood Carved Armchairs

About the Item

A fine set of four French 19th century Louis XV Rococo style giltwood carved Fauteuil à la Reine armchairs, the arched upholstered paneled backs with foliate scroll cresting and similar borders, having padded arm supports above slip-in seat, raised on flower heads decorated cabriolet legs ending in scrolled feet, attributed to Maison Boutung Munz & Merlotti, circa Paris, 1870-1880. Measure: Height 40 3/4 inches (103.5 cm) Width 29 1/8 inches (74 cm) Depth 29 1/2 inches (74.9 cm) Seat height 18 1/4 inches (46.4 cm) Note: The video only shows two of these arm chairs, you may request the video of the other two by sending us a message request

    Repaired: Touch-ups to gilding. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor fading. A truly beautiful set, four matching chairs sold separately. Overall good condition but with several touch ups to original gilt and some gilt gesso losses. Upholstery has many stains and should be replaced. Structurally sound. Please view all images.
