Born in the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of Chinese official's hat armchairs features a curving top rail, gracefully supported by two convex supports. The back splat is pierced with delicate motifs, adding an intricate touch to the design. The rectangular wooden seat is flanked by two serpentine arms, creating a harmonious flow with the chair's overall structure.
