Pair Antique French Carved Walnut Fauteuils for Restoration
About the Item
Ca. later 19th c. Louis XV style with elegant carved frames, the shaped backs and curved arms with delicate carved foliate details. The serpentine skirt rails and cabriole legs with complementary finely carved foliate details. Upholstered in antique needlepoint in ecru with pastel tone grape clusters and flowering plants. Nail head trim.
H. 38 3/4", W. 29", Depth 25",seat H. 19"
Condition: Restoration recommended. Please see detail photos. The upholstered seats worn and stained with one manchette worn and torn, torn back upholstery and bottom straps in need of restoration however the presentation remains faithfully French and refined.
