Karl-Erik Ekselius "Easy" Chairs For J. O. Carlsson Mobler

About the Item

This pair of high-quality Scandinavian modern lounge armchairs (model: F60 Easy Chair) were designed by Karl-Erik Ekselius and produced by J. O. Carlsson Mobler in the 1960s. The solid teak frames feature beautifully sculpted arms and cut-out backs newly upholstered in contrasting natural ecru cotton-linen. The arm height is 24 inches. Karl-Erik Ekselius was a popular post-war Swedish furniture designer who then gained international attention. This allowed Ekselius to join the wave of designers that brought Scandinavian Modern design to New York and the United States in the 50s and 60s.
