Early 20th Century French Art Nouveau Period Thonet Style Bentwood Armchair

About the Item

Attributed to Thonet, this French Art Nouveau period bentwood armchair features a pressed wood seat detailed with a classic central rosette and scrolling leaves. The curved seat back and armrests are supported by curved braces and the seat rests on gently curved legs joined by a circular support. Ideal as a desk chair, circa 1900.
