Antique Chinese Peking Rug, Circa 1900
About the Item
A classic 19th century Chinese carpet with a sparsely decorated field, this rug is handwoven with very fine knots on a rare indigo blue field. Known as a Peking Chinese this rug is framed with a spectacular border.
Wool used to make this rug is of high quality dyed with all organic elements. Condition of this rug represents its age and usage.
There are few masterful restorations performed on this rug and otherwise is in good shape.
