Antique Afghan Ersari Village Carpet, circa 1900
About the Item
Antique Red Afghan carpet with traditional Ersari design, this carpet has superb colour with a very good warm red field. The carpet has four rows of six large guls which are drawn in a very pleasing mid indigo blue.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile, this is a really outstanding example of Afghan village weaving. The carpet has been hand washed and ready for use or display. Suitable for heavy domestic floor use.
