About the Item
Beautiful authentic Amish quilt from Holmes Co., Ohio,
circa 1930s
The baskets are treadle machine, pieced in various shades of blue, green, pink and purple. Set with black cotton sateen. The inner border and binding are blue-green; it is quilted in black thread at 6-7 stitches per inch. the design includes 8 petal flowers, tulips, pumpkins seed and a vine in the outer border. The back of the quilt is a dark blue. Very good border Unwashed. There is Velcro on one side and a sleeve for hanging on the other.
