Gracie Style Six Panel Chinoiserie Lacquered Wallpaper Screen
About the Item
Elegant six panel lacquered wallpaper screen made in the style and manner of Gracie. The screen is two-sided and depicts an idyllic flora and fauna landscape with blossoming flowers and exotic birds on one side. The opposite side features a waterside village scene with figures busy with work and leisurely activities. The screen is constructed from wood panels covered with faux leather parchment style paper having a cloth stitch on the tops and sides of each panel. The paintings have an intentionally aged, distressed patina on the finish with craquelure to mimic age. Each panel is supported by square legs with patinated brass clad feet and hardware.
