Rare & All Hand-Carved Wooden 1950's Fifties Soccer / Football Shoes Bookends
About the Item
Highly decorative and coolest ever, soccer shoes bookends.
All handcrafted from wood and wrought iron these highly decorative bookends come with wonderfully carved soccer shoes. They are exactly like the earliest soccer shoes that were made at the very beginning of the 20th century. These sizable bookends can be placed with the nose of the shoes facing up or down and they will look great both ways. We cannot find a second pair of these realistically carved bookends anywhere in the world and for us to have found them in this excellent condition, more than made our day. Have you also noticed the wrought iron studs underneath? The look and feel of this sizable and solid wooden pair is simply marvelous. If you are a soccer fan or if you know someone who is, then these cool soccer shoes bookends from the 1950's could make the perfect gift. To us they combine the best of both worlds: that of art and that of sports.
