Early 20th Century Cast Iron Sack Weighing Scales Produced by W&T Avery Ltd

About the Item

An early 20th century cast iron sack weighing scales produced by W&T Avery Ltd. First patented in 1879. In untouched condition with excellent patina and grain pattern to the wooden weighing plates. Both wheels fully working. One of the two swing out handles at the front is missing, but nevertheless a very interesting item that would make a great shop display or unique piece of furniture in the home. Measures: 55cm wide x 83.5cm long x 81cm high.
