Marconi, UK, Radio Model 246A, 1930s valve/tube wireless Art Deco, table, super!

About the Item

Marconi Co. (Marconiphone) Model 246A (?) Wireless valve radio, produced by Marconi Co., 1930s. Wooden Case with Bakelite fittings Cosmetic: Good cosmetic condition but with some notable marks and scratches to the top - please see photos. Front fascia including cloth grille and glass are very good. Technical: Working! This came from the collection of a vintage radio enthusiast. Internally/technically it is in very good clean condition. It appears to have been fully serviced – there are various new internal components including capacitors, some wiring etc. - so we have powered this up and it seems to work very well! The valves appear excellent. BUT... we have no actual record of the service history or work carried out, so please assume that it should be fully checked by a suitably qualified technician prior to use. W 38.5 cm, D 28 cm, H 45 cm, Wt 15 kg
