3 19th C. Shipwreck Olive Green Glass Liquor Bottles, Van Den Bergh & Co. et al

About the Item

3 19th-century shipwreck olive green glass liquor bottles, Van Den Bergh & Co. et al.  Provenance unknown shipwreck off the coast of Key West, FL, in the 1970s.  This rare set of three 19th-century shipwreck olive green glass liquor bottles recovered from an unknown shipwreck off the coast of Key West, Florida, in the 1970s, offers a unique glimpse into maritime history. Each bottle, beautifully preserved with a satin surface, bears the hallmarks of over a century of exposure to the sea, creating a smooth, weathered patina that is highly prized by collectors. The tallest bottle in the collection stands at 10.5 inches high and features a shoulder seal marked "Van Den Bergh & Co.," indicating its historical provenance. It has a square body that tapers from 3.5 inches at the shoulder to 2.5 inches at the base. The second bottle, unmarked but clearly part of the same set, measures 10 inches high with a square body tapering from 3 inches to 2.25 inches at the base. Completing the trio, the third bottle features a long neck and a circular body, standing at 9.75 inches high with a 3.5-inch diameter. These bottles, with their even olive-green color and delicate surfaces, are a joy to hold and examine. They represent a fascinating piece of maritime history, perfect for collectors or anyone interested in the allure of shipwreck artifacts. Ready to display, this instant collection captures the mystery and romance of the sea. The price is for the set of three bottles; they will not separate.  Overall Measurements: Tallest, Van Den Bergh & Co. 10.5 inches high x 3.5 inches square, with a tapering base to 2.5 inches square.  2nd tallest, unmarked 10-inches high x 3 inches square, with a tapering base to 2.25 inches square,  Round Bottle Standing 9.75 inches high x 3.5 inch diameter
