Beautiful photos of European and American furniture from the 17th century through the Art Nouveau period, to the present. From a Philadelphia mahogany highboy, a French dwarf cupboard, a Dutch dresser-commode, an Italian dressing table made from carved white statuary marble, a library table and chair from mid-18th century Bohemia, and 500 more items. Great reference book for designers, decorators, and antiquarians.
