About the Item
The Byron is a theatrical piece, as shown it is carefully hand ebonized creating a graphic symmetry. It is shown in our specialty honey stained maple finish with hand painted ebony detailing. The Byron is also available in solid stain options, alternate pricing below. Posts heights can be customized to fit your ceiling height. Finial options are shown in our detail images, note that various finials change the overall post height. This bed is available in multiple wood types, sizes and finishes, also note our other cornice and half cornice valence options for a more dramatic look.

Scott James Furniture & Design specializes in hand-made furniture covering a range of styles and fabrication techniques. We are most known for our four poster beds using traditional mortise and tenon joinery available in a range of styles from Contemporary to Traditional. We also work in case and accent pieces, side tables and dining tables, utilizing complex joinery, veneers and even caning and intricate carving. We work out of our Tiverton Rhode Island workshop with a group of expert craftsman. We primarily work in domestic hardwoods such as walnut and oak but also specialist in mahogany and other more unique species. We primarily work with Architects and Interior Designers and are open to custom fabrication and projects. Founded in 1984, we have a long history of making modern American heirlooms, with an attention to detail, craft and quality.
