Italian 19th Century Baroque St. Mirror ‘Aux Dragons’
About the Item
A stunning and extremely decorative Italian 19th century Baroque st. mirror 'aux Dragons'. The mirror retains its original mirror plate set within a unique mottled and elegantly curved band with striking cobalt blue fluted designs. At the base is a handsome finely detailed mask amidst exceptional scrolled acanthus leaves and impressive richly carved dragons leading up each side. Exquisite carved ripe fruit and additional wonderfully executed scrolled acanthus leaves lead up the frame to the remarkable top crown in a rich satin and burnished finish. All original gilt throughout.
