Magnificent and very large 19th Century ebonised and gilt overmantle wall mirror, showcasing exceptional quality and adorned with a charming dragon crest for added elegance.
This delightful and uncommon mirror stands out as a lovely and rare find, offering a distinctive touch that sets it apart.
An impressive discovery, this mirror would make a striking addition to the right location. The construction is robust, featuring no loose joints or signs of woodworm.
The mirrored glass, while exhibiting very light oxidation and other age-related imperfections, remains in good condition. Maximum dimensions are 135cm in height, 84cm in width, and 13cm in depth, with mirrored glass measuring 100cm in height and 64cm in width.
The frame is in good antique condition, retaining its original finish. Minor historic knocks, marks, losses, wear, imperfections, and evidence of repairs contribute to its authentic character. Some alterations, refinishing, and careful touching up add to its historical charm. Stock No. 8447.
