About the Item
This charming mirror adds distinction and a certain playfulness to an interior. The painting is larger than the mirror. The countryman plays his flute for the young woman and the child as they sit in a pastoral landscape.The mirrorplate is distressed, and gilt ornament is applied to the pale green surround.
The pediment framed by gilt ribbons over an oil on canvas pastoral painting (20" x 27"), surmounting mirror plate (20" x 18"), both bordered by giltwood molding, the apron bordered with giltwood carved floral urns.
