Victorian Sterling Heart Formed Dressing Mirror

About the Item

Elaborate and wonderful Victorian heart formed sterling dressing/vanity mirror, late 19th century English. Wonderfully high styled Victorian motifs with cherubs, sunflowers and elaborate scrollwork. The repousse sterling motif is backed on a velvet base with an easel back which can be used on a table or wall hung. Beveled mirror in excellent condition measures 8.5" wide by 7" high. Entire mirror measures 13" wide, 15" in height and approximately 1" in depth. Given originally as a prize for "St. Fagans, Cottage Garden Challenge Prize". Makers mark "gh." 1890s, London, UK. Excellent condition.
