A Very Rare and Fine Pair of 19th Century Giltwood Pier Mirrors
About the Item
A very rare pair of 19th Century giltwood pier mirrors, finely hand carved, of gorgeous quality and in excellent condition. The mirror glass plate of oval form is set within a fabulous moulded and fluted giltwood frame with elegantly simple beaded row and lambs tongue motif detail, surmounted with an intricately pierced centred crest composition comprising of centred cabochon, scrolls, foliate and linen drapes, flanked with trailing flowerheads, beautifully hand carved in high relief.
