The ceramic base made of "Ting keramik" and hand-painted in a fascinating mix of earth tones and organic motifs, expressing the essence of Danish design from the 1960s, marked on the base. The table lamp comes with a black leder paperprint on linen shade. With an E27 light socket suitable to fit a lamp shade, it takes one E27 screw bulb, the on/off switch is on the cord. Large ceramics floor lamp handmade at Løvemose ceramics workshop in Denmark in the 1960s. The base is made from stoneware with a stunning grey speckled glazing. Løvemose was a pottery in the town of Kædeby on the island of Langeland in central Denmark, run by husband and wife team Marie Hansen (d. 2008) and Johannes Hansen (d. 2003). It started in 1942 and ran until the mid 1980’s. It was of a reasonable size with up to 15 staff working there at its peak.
