Pair of Modernist Brass and Hand Blown Translucent Murano Glass "Cloud" Lamps
About the Item
This stunning pair of modernist lamps were hand blown in Murano, Italy, the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They feature four stacked hand blown Murano translucent glass volumetric trapezoidal forms with concave backs pierced through the center with a cylindrical brass rod. Each of the hand blown glass forms offer swirling expressive forms- resembling stylized cloud formations- in white and gray tones. With their beautiful glass quality and clean modernist lines, these lamps are as versatile as they are aesthetically appealing, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent condition. Each lamp accommodates two Edison based bulbs, offering up to 400 watts of light for the pair. The lamps come fitted with custom shades.
