Pair of impressively large Italian hand blown Murano black and gold glass sphere lamps. Solid black Murano glass spheres are separated by clear glass rings infused with 23-karat gold flecks, giving them a shimmering jeweled look. Signed by the glass master himself, Alberto Dona (Murano). Newly wired for U.S. use. Measurements below include lightbulb socket. Measures: 31 in.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
