Pair of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Ormolu Lamps
About the Item
A beautiful true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. ormolu lamps. Each lamp is raised by a most decorative pierced scrolled base with a central cabochon. Above are charming cherubs seated on an etched tree trunk with scrolled movements leading up to them. Musical instruments are at their feet. Each richly chased cherub is playing a flute and displays a striking satin and burnished finish. All original gilt throughout.
