About the Item

This exquisite Mid-Century Modern table lamp was designed by Lee Rosen for Design Technics in the United States circa 1960. It features a tear drop form in a volcanic molten orange red glaze replete with an organic hand carved vertical striated surface resembling accretions of cooled lava (in earthen ceramic of a volcanic hue). With its beautiful hand crafted aesthetic, by one of the period's great lighting designers, and austere silhouette, this piece is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. It bears the proprietary Design technics oval stamp incised into the lamp body. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The lamp comes with a custom shade. American, circa 1960 Dimensions: height 37 diameter 10.
