Pair Søholm Sculptural Ceramic Lamp Wall Sconces Danish Design Mid-century 1960s

About the Item

Pair of stylish Danish mid-century wall sconces. The wall lamps are made by the acknowledged pottery Søholm on Bornholm and the design is attributed to Noomi Backhausen & Poul Brandborg. The sconces consists of circular disks made of stoneware with a lovely structured surface. The core of the disk is glazed in light blue and green colors the remaining part of the disk is left unglazed. The light comes from the center part and provides a gentle and cozy light. They can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical position. Both disks are marked with Søholm Stentøj (stoneware). No chips, cracks, crazing or repairs.
