Pair of French Brass Horn Sconces
About the Item
A delightful pair of brass wall sconces from the earliest part of the 20th century, shaped like miniature French horn instruments mounted on escutcheons. These radiant fixtures each have three extraordinary coiled arms terminating in flared cups to support the candle covers of the electrical wiring. The looped arms are mounted on a backplate like a shield, or escutcheon plate. The finish of the metal has taken an oxidized patina developed over the past century-plus for beautiful depth. The pair of sconces have been cleaned and wired for US electrical using UL certified parts. Please view the detailed images. Sold as a pair.
