Pair Of French 19th Century Louis XVI St. Napoleon III Period Ormolu Sconces
About the Item
An elegant and most decorative pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Napoleon III period Ormolu sconces. Each unique three arm sconce is centered by a charming finely detailed bottom acorn finial amidst striking acanthus leaves and charming berried laurel branches. Each of the elegantly scrolled arms is adorned with large acanthus leaves in a warm satin and burnished finish and displays a lovely tied fluted design leading to flared foliate bobeches and fine palmettes and berried laurel candle cups. At the center is an impressive tied quiver with richly chased fletchings all below a unique and most decorative swaging draped fabric design.
