Pair of 1960s Italian Vistosi Style 5 Murano Glass Opaque Disc Wall Lights
About the Item
Pair of 1960s Vintage Italian Murano five glass disc wall lights or sconces. Made in the style of Vistosi. The textured glass round discs are frosted white in the centre to help to disguise the two lightbulbs sitting behind but clear around the edges.
The handblown Murano discs are suspended from a brushed chromed metal frame with a string on/off switch hanging from the bottom.
The lights could certainly be Vistosi because of the quality of the glass along with the age and design of the metal frame which helps to identify the originality of the piece but I cannot be sure for certain.
The handblown discs are in a perfect condition with no chips or scratches. I also have two spares. The central top arm on one frame has been replaced but you cannot really tell it apart from the others. There are some heat marks to the frame where it's been soldered onto it which is hidden when the discs are in place. The lights are in the full working and have been checked by an electrician.
Each light requires 2 x Edison E14 screw in lightbulbs which point downwards.
