Modernist Hand-Blown Smoked Garnet Conical Murano Glass & Orbital Drop Sconces
About the Item
This elegant and powerfully scaled Modernist Hand-Blown Murano Glass Conical Sconces in Smoked Garnet w/ Orbital Drop & Brass Fittings originates from Italy during the 21st Century. Features a tall conical shade with a brass ring delineating the shade from the striated orbital drop, beneath which is a spherical brass fitting. The body of the sconce connects to the backplate via a rectangular brass element, square and with two additional spherical brass fittings concealing the attachments. The glass is rendered in a beautiful smoked garnet hue, a subtle deep pink semi-translucent and with a sophisticated appearance beautifully pairing with the polished brass of the sconces. A lovely pair, these sconces will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. Newly rewired to American Standards, and in Excellent Condition. Each Sconce accommodates 1 Edison Based bulb offering 100 watts of light.
