About the Item

A very large pair of handblown Italian Barovier Mid-Century Modern half moon sconces circa 1950. The paired half-cylinder shaped frosted white textured glass shades create a unified entity of an organic form, resembling ripples of water or sand formations. Architecturally designed with sinuous textured bands, the semi-circular wall lights can illuminate and seamlessly integrate into any spatial setting. The decorative patterns of ocean waves, crackled glass, or ice lend a dewy, ethereal quality to the glass. Through the process of hand-blowing, the sconce light transforms into a beautiful, sculptural, and almost magical form, perfectly capturing the enchanting effect.
