French 1950s Articulating Swing Arm Wall Lamp in 24-Karat Gold-Plated

Impeccable French 1950s pivoting counterbalance swing arm wall sconce with solid brass armature that has been electroplated in 24-karat gold. The light source is inside the yellow asymmetrically spun aluminum shade with perforations. It takes a standard size Edison screw lightbulb. Up to 100 watts. Note that the yellow enameled aluminum is original and has not been repainted. The shape of the diffusor shade is very similar to designs by Vittoriano Vigano and Jean Boris-LaCroix.
Rewired and revamped for USA and fitted with a custom back plate to cover a standard junction box for UL compliance. Takes a single standard Edison screw bulb up to 75 watts.
Arm from ball to tip of shade is 37".
From wall to where swivel joins with arm is 14 inches.
Shade is 10 inches diameter and 9 inches high.
Fully extended from wall forward is 36 inches.
With arm level the height from bottom of backplate to top of cone is 16 inchess but will be higher if tilted.
Can be hard wired or corded.
Please note the wood block in image 8 has nothing to do with the fixture and was just a temporary mount while photographing.

At present we have SIX (6) pair of these original solid brass model 1706 swing arm wall lamps. These are the real deal, old school, with the extinct (not exaggerating) brass square tube cord covers, MetalArt marked backplates which go over the separate wall mounting plates, original solid brass finials and original lampshades (several different styles). Can be hard wired or plug-in. Works with three-way lightbulb.
Designed by Georg W. Hansen in 1947 while improvising a reading lamp for his bunk during World War 2, we present this vintage pair of polished brass double swing arm sconces with original harps and solid brass finials as well as solid brass column cord covers. Signed Hansen original cast brass rectangular backplates (3 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" tall x 1/2" deep), allowing the option of hard wiring or simply wall mounting and plugging into an outlet. Three way switch. Each lamp takes a single standard Edison screw bulb up to 150 watts.
