Four Restored Tudor Revival Sconces, circa 1928, Priced per pair
About the Item
Priced per pair with two pair available.
Manufacture by Lion, these are hefty in both weight and design. Restored to bring out the solid cast brass construction as well as all the elements incorporated into the design. With no paint used in their restoration, what you see is the patinated brass with a warm sealer coat which allows the brass highlights to remain.
Embellished with trefoil, Fleur De Lis, battlements around the socket cups, and quatrefoil, these offer a stately presence indeed.
The fleur de lis traditionally represents the virtues of perfection, light and life.
A design unique to Lion, the socket is attached to a 1/2 round arm giving depth to the fixture.
