Brass Gilt Two-Candle French Style Sconce

About the Item

The ornamental flourishes on this midcentury brass sconce has a beautiful patina and two candles and lights. This piece would be stunning on a dark background or a white or light tan wall. This sconce was made in France, although the maker is unknown. It measures 17 inches tall by 14 inches wide. It has not been altered with paint or any other modifications. All original. As a single piece, this will make a strong lighting statement when installed. It is particularly dramatic in a bathroom or on navy blue. It could be painted to great effect in a brighter gold tone according to taste. The sconce works perfectly and is ready for installation. There are no condition issues aside from what is associated with age and use. The sconce is in very good condition and presents beautifully.
