Art Deco Style, Diamond Shape Alabaster Wall Sconces Rare Design Set of Three
About the Item
Large and stunning design, set of three alabaster wall lights.
Over the past 5 years we have seen our midcentury made and our antique alabaster fixtures become ever more popular both with interior designers and private buyers. Our alabaster fixtures almost always have a timeless design and when the light shines through these mineral stone shades they always create a light effect that is calm and atmospheric. And with this mineral stone growing inside mountains over thousands of years, the rocks out of which these amazing lights are carved always have a unique pattern. Now, what takes this group of three, unique design and large size sconces to the next level are exactly those patterns (and veins). Because, if you look closely then you will notice that the two sconces on the outsides not only have black veins in exactly the same place, they also have the same type of stunning, 'cloudy' patterns running through them. And the sconce in the middle has a perfectly symmetrical and matching black veins pattern from which one can see that the artisan whom hand-created these sconces new exactly what he was doing and he perfectly studied the rock out of which these sconces were 'delved'. We have never seen a set with such a pure Art Deco design and with the natural veins and patterns being so perfectly and evenly spread. Mind you, these rare Italian sconces were not glued together, all three are carved out of one piece. As you can see in two of our photos, the hooks via which these sconces can be wall mounted too are integrated in their design. All it takes are two screws (or hooks) per sconce to wall mount them and you can simply attach a bracket with one or two sockets inside/behind these striking shades to create the perfect atmosphere in your hallway, up your stairwell, on your landing, over your credenza etc. In our photos we used the original bracket and socket with a 60 watt bulb and, as we have mentioned many times before, both with the lights on and off these rare and stylish sconces are much more beautiful in real life than in any of our photos.
