19th Century French Napoleon III Iron Lantern with Painted Stained Glass Panels

About the Item

For a unique lighting feature, look no further than this beautiful, antique Gothic lantern. Created in France circa 1870, the lantern is decorated with four painted, stained glass panels including a small door to access the light bulbs; the frame is further embellished with metal leaf and scroll decor at the top and bottom. The fixture has three inside lights newly wired. The lantern is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns the original patinated black finish with gilt accents. (Small crack on one panel; see last image) Included: A canopy, loop, and chain; each color-matched to the fixture. Measures: 11" W x 11" D x 29" H.
