Hillebrand Large Vintage Textured Murano Bubble Glass & Brass Flush Mount Light
About the Item
Stunning, large (51cm / 20") vintage Mid-Century Modern textured ice Murano glass flush mount light fixture by German manufacturer Hillebrand, circa 1965. This vintage ceiling light, often mistakenly attributed to Kalmar, features a huge round Murano glass dish made of 'Frit' glass - a technique involving hundreds of tiny glass shards which are molded into the glass during its manufacture, giving the piece a heavy ice appearance which refracts the light, filling a room with a soft, warm and welcoming glow.
Mounted on a polished solid brass flush mount and held in place by three large, round brass screws.
Original EU wiring and carefully cleaned, the light requires five E14 screw fit light bulbs (40Watt Max. per bulb).
