French 1940s Gilt Iron Modern Neoclassical 'Sunburst' Flush Mount or Pendant

About the Item

Elegant French gilt wrought iron flush mount fixture or pendant in the Mid-Century Modern Neoclassical spirit with alternating rows tapered spikes emanating from a central curved disc. The piece is well designed as a pure, balanced, symmetrical form that reflects harmony and energy; It is also hand made with hand hammering of the frame and hand gilt. The lighting elements are contained within the disc that shoot light upwards to the ceiling and down the walls. The piece reflects both sober modern and classic sensibilities as the piece resembles a starburst or sunburst. This piece can also be suspended as a pendant via a stem.
